Dewey, the long-time News Director for "The Talk of JC," 1420 KJCK also serves as the play-by-play voice for the Junction City High School Bluejay sports teams. He has received numerous awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters including first place in best newscast, sports play-by-play, best sportscast and the Hod Humiston Award for Outstanding Contributions to Sports Broadcasting in Kansas. He was a three-time recipient of the Oscar Stauffer Sportscaster of the Year Award from the Kansas State High School Activities Association. Dewey has also received numerous honors from the Associated Press including Recognition for News Story of the Year. Dewey was honored by local baseball officials when the press box was named after him at Rathert Field. He is a native Kansan, growing up in Burr Oak and a graduate of Kansas State University.
