Due to major road construction on K-18 Highway in Riley County beginning next week, Fort Riley officials are changing the operational hours for two access point gates. Starting March 19, Fort Riley's 12th Street Gate will become a 24-hour, seven day a week operational gate with inbound traffic only from five to seven a.m. in order to facilitate a smoother flow of traffic onto the installation. Fort Riley police will conduct traffic control for the inbound traffic during those peak morning hours. The Ogden Gate will no longer be a 24-hour operational gate. Normal traffic flow for that gate will continue on weekdays from five a.m. until seven p.m. and will close on all federal holidays.
